EL PASO, Texas – Junior Ali Meister of the UAB women’s track & field team got the Conference USA Outdoor Championships started in strong fashion for the Blazers on Thursday. Meister obliterated her former personal-best in the Shot Put portion of the Heptathlon while moving into third on the school’s outdoor performers list. She stands in fourth place in the hept after day one with 3,086 points.
