UAB distance runner Rhiannon Johns, who completed her final year of eligibility with the 2013 outdoor season, has earned one of the most prestigious academic honors a collegiate student-athlete can attain. Johns on Thursday was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America Division I Women's Track & Field/Cross Country first team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
